Examples of Citations
Citing a Website:
(reflects new MLA 8 guidelines)
The elements are:
Last Name of Author, First Name of Author (if known). “Article Title.” Website
Title. Sponsoring Institution/Publisher, Publication Date, URL.
Example:
"Copyright and Plagiarism for Students." Penn State University Libraries. The
Pennsylvania State University, 24 Nov. 2015, www.libraries.psu.edu/psul
/lls/students/using_information.html.

The elements are:
Creator's Last Name, First Name. "Title of image" or your own description of the
image. Title of the website where it was published (not google!). Publisher,
Date it was published (if you know it), URL.
Example:
"The Battle of Copyright Image." Rubber Onion Blog. Rubber Onion Animation,
19 Oct. 2015, www.rubberonion.com/copyright-and-what-animators-need-to-
know-about-it-parody-fair-use-fan-art/.
